PROGRAM DETAILS
The goals of our TEFL Certificate course in Boston are to teach
you in a short amount of time what will be of the most value to
you as you begin to teach ESL/EFL. Action in English classes cover
a wide range of theoretical information such as: principles and
methods of language teaching, needs analyses and goal setting, learning
styles, classroom interaction, lesson planning, syllabus and materials
development, and creating goals and objectives.
Classes also include such practical information as: effective use
of the blackboard, and communicative activities for effective pair/group
work.
Becoming a good teacher means that you must have lots of practice.
Students in our course spend ten hours outside of the class in observation
of actual ESL classes, and several hours in peer teaching. Trainees
also participate in a teaching practicum in which they teach real
ESL students.
