On-Site Program Options

EC Boston?s team of business professionals and ESL instructors can customize a program to suit the English training needs of your diverse workforce. By tailoring the following program options to your requests and requirements, we will ensure that your staff get the training they need for successful English communication.

Academic Focus
Whether your staff needs to improve their listening skills or ability to write effective emails, we can meet the English training needs of an international workforce from any industry. Among other topics, trainings can focus on the following topics:

  Workplace ESL (Beginning-Advanced)
Technical Writing (i.e. reports, notes, messages, presentations, emails, etc.)
Business English (specialized for your unique workplace)
  Accent reduction
  Presentation skills
Professional Interpersonal Communication (language and etiquette for meetings,   telephone conversations, emails, etc.)
Cross-cultural training for staff and managers

Class Size and Course Schedule
We offer an initial package that includes an assessment, specialized curriculum development and 40 hours of class time. Additional hours may be added to the package according to the client needs, and based on the assessment and recommendation of EC Boston staff. A typical program offers 4 hours of class per week for 10 weeks.

The needs assessment performed by EC Boston may lead to a recommendation of a multi-level training package. Typically, employees are grouped according to their level with an average of 10 students per class. Although the maximum class size is 15, smaller groups will ensure personalized attention from the instructor for all participants.

All classes are arranged according to your scheduling requests. We can accommodate weekend, weekday, morning, afternoon or evening schedules. Class frequency is arranged to be compatible with your employee?s work schedule.

Location
Instruction takes place either on-site at your workplace or at our Boylston Street location. This option for on-site training often appeals to business managers who feel their staff requires ready access to materials, documents and/or machines for hands-on, realistic training. On-site options also facilitate attendance by reducing the need for your staff to commute and strengthens positive team dynamics.
