Why Olin Center Corporate Training

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What qualifies the Olin Center to instruct my staff?

The Olin Center is accredited by ACCET, a memeber of the American Association of Intensive English Programs, and has been instructing international and American students in ESL and Test Preparation for 13 years.

What is the length of the program?

The initial package offers 40 hours of class time.  Additional hours may be added to the package according to the client needs, and based on the assessment and recommendation of Olin Center staff.

What is the maximum number of students per class?

The program allows up to 10 employees to participate in each group.  Need assessment, by the Olin Center, may lead to a recommendation of a multi level training package according to employees’ needs.  Smaller groups will ensure personalized attention from the instructor for all participants.

How does the Olin Center assess the level of my staff and determine appropriate class material?

We provide a free consultation prior to collecting any payment to determine your unique workplace needs.  During this time of initial assessment Olin Center’s staff of business professionals and ESL instructors work closely with your administrative staff to determine the company training goals and long-term employee skill objectives.

In addition to consulting the management, Olin Center staff also meets with the employees to complete self-assessments.  The results of these initial analyses  are then compiled and used to design the most appropriate course

When are the classes scheduled for?

All classes are arranged according to your scheduling requests, be it weekends, weekdays, mornings, evenings or afternoons

How often do the classes meet?

Classes are also arranged according to the frequency that is most compatible with your business schedule and yet taking into account our staff’s professional recommendations to ensure that your company’s training goals are met.

Where do the classes take place?

Instruction takes place either on-site or at our Newbury Street location.  This option for on-site training appeals to business managers who feel their staff requires ready access to materials, documents and/or machines for hands-on, realistic training.

How do I know if my staff is improving?

We monitor the quality and success of our courses through regular assessment and continuous evaluation that can be submitted to the administration if requested.

Are the Olin Center instructors qualified to teach my staff?

We offer the highest quality of ESL instruction through a team of instructors donning undergraduate and graduate degrees and extensive experience teaching in the United States and abroad.

The custom-designed curriculum uses up-to-date class material and texts with the most current information on business policy, terminology and cultural knowledge.

What other services does the Olin Center provide for my team?
